Scenes from summer

Travelling, cycling, swimming… and a good dose of watermelon – now that’s a good summer! 😀

My summer holiday is over and there’s a new year to enjoy!

To start 2016 and to celebrate the joys of summer on Australia’s east coast, here’s a photo story featuring scenes from the past few weeks in a short video (1min 54secs):

  1. Was that Tallebudgera Creek in there? (Possibly spelt that incorrectly) I’ve a few memories from that place!
Looks like a great summer to launch you into 2016. 😊

    • You’re right – spelling and all! 🙂 The lead photo is Tallebudgera Creek on a very hot and crowded day in the first week of January. I was riding over the bridge that spans the creek and loved seeing the riot of colour filling the beach.

    • Thanks Penny. Preparing this slideshow made me realise what a wonderful collection of experiences we’d over the past few weeks. It made returning to a working week much easier 🙂

    • Thanks Bri 🙂 It was a fun time – family, friends, good food and sunshine – oh and some bike riding in there too, as you’d expect. I’ll be dropping by your blog soon for a look at how the snow’s been treating you 🙂

    • Thanks Robyn 🙂 I’ll be popping over to your blog soon to see what’s been growing in your garden while I’ve been away.

… ‘newly minted’ – I like that expression. A year expansively rich with opportunity!

    • Hi Margaret, thanks for visiting. I really enjoy the ‘new start’ energy that January brings for so many people. Perhaps it’s also that most of the country is on holidays somewhere and there’s a lighter feel to the air. The landscape in my photos arrive through these eyes. 🙂
