    • It was a particularly beautiful day to be cycling and in the caldera, Brenda. Some days you just can’t fault.

Your Easter overnight tour sounded really good. We’re working up to the camping bike tour combo, so it was great to read about it 🙂

    • The area is wonderful to ride in Andrew. We simply followed one of the tourist drives. It was a little over 50kms but you could definitely extend that and visit more of the little villages and national parks in the area. My next post will have some of the details of our ride, including a Strava map.

  1. Love the recipe -this is my kind of fare! I especially like the idea of serving over the caldera – sounds so enticing. The wonderful weather over this Easter break was such a nice contrast to Easters past.

    • Yeah, it’s a wonderful place. I’m writing a few posts about our Good Friday riding with some more photos to enjoy.
Have you climbed any peaks around there?

      • We used to hike up Mount Warning each year. Gorgeous views up there. I haven’t spent much time climbing or cycling around there though. I like the idea of pulling the bike over to enjoy a nice fresh mango at a roadside stall to fuel up for some of the bigger hills!
